YAY
Pooky Night consisted mostly of utilitarian shopping: Steve needed a new raincoat (success), we needed padded china storage for his mom's good china that we brought back (success), I needed a new gi (fail! All these huge warehouse-y sports stores and none of them carry 'em) and a frame for my ninja license (success, or at least I think so, I have to see how it looks in the frame), and we needed a bed frame thing for the air mattress (fail...apparently I hallucinated the existence of such an item). Secondary objectives achieved: new pillows, a sundress, and a pair of black capri pants.
That's not YAY, though. YAY is for the new Japanese place that has opened within easy walking distance of our house. It's small, friendly, reasonably priced, has pleasing decor, and the food is excellent. This has almost gotten me over the whole Kiev thing.
Now I just have to make up nutrition data for sushi.
