Today is the day we were supposed to go to Gunnison Beach Instead, a word from the National Weather Service:

... More showers and thunderstorms with heavy rain today...

Once again, showers and thunderstorms are expected for today, and
some will be accompanied by heavy rain. The heavy rain will cause
flooding in areas of poor drainage and perhaps along small streams
and creeks. If heavy rain falls in areas that received heavy rain
yesterday, that would increase the chances of localized flooding.

Showers and thunderstorms with locally heavy rainfall remain in the
forecast at least through tonight.
