And yet another aikido class missed, due to a train wreck of colocation customer with a box down + console access that wasn't properly set up when we shifted it down to the new rack. Which someone saw fit to place a note in a file, but not, oh, OPEN A TICKET ABOUT. Or even send email about so those of us who deal with customers might be aware that this issue existed. Bah. So, I'm nailed here to interface with the customer and keep the world moving, while Angry Coffee Guy is off on another Navisite adventure.
I do award the customer a noogie for forgetting all his console access information, though, because this might have already been sorted by now if we hadn't had to faff around getting a new SSH key from him &c.
A schadenfreude moment: a customer (who's leaving us, actually) asked to have a DNS change at 6:30pm Friday night. Which was after hours, but Eli stayed late and did it, because he isa pushover nice that way...Three hours later they realized they gave us the wrong IP addresses, and sent much panicky email to addresses not monitored on weekends. Aheheheh.
Steve is stuck in Buffalo--where they didn't get any snow, in a majestic outpouring of irony--until tomorrow. Once again, he didn't manage to get through to the airline until all of today's flights were booked up. I advised him to enjoy his serendipitous vacation weekend.
Saw some guy in CoH whose character name was Majestik 12, and yet he had nothing to do with the Greys, or Delta Green, or anything else that would have made it a terribly clever choice. What a waste.
