In spite of the impending DSL doom, general exhaustion, and a certain cosmic ooble of "nobody likes me", I was in a remarkably chipper mood on my way into work. This lasted until I learned that Joe is out sick today, leaving me and Eli standing in front of the manure-loaded rotatory device.

Now I'm *maniacally* cheerful, in the dancing-on-the-edge-of-the-abyss kind of way.
