O NOES TEH SKY IZ FALLING!!11!~ oh wait

When I went to bed, I was promised 5-8" of snow with predictions of IMMINENT DOOM and--perhaps? could it be?--a chance of a snow day.

I wake up to find a barely noticeable sprinkle of white frosting the grass.

That's because it tracked north.

I'd ask around for the history of snow days at the school. They never close them around here...unless they don't have power. That pretty much is the only reason...even when Euclid Ave. was under 15 inches of water, CWRU still expected people to slog in. And CCC never had snow days either. Although it's funny when the students make it but the instructors don't. "Uh, what do we do now? Is it 15 minutes or 30 minutes we're supposed to wait?"

Oh you should just see the way they panic in these parts. 5" of snow = The End Of The World Is Nigh, and there are runs on bottled water and suchlike in the stores.

Pffft. 5 inches is nothing.

They should see a good new hampshire snowfall. 3 feet, now that is something to be concerned about. 5 inches is a bore.

You had a sprinkling of white on the grass? I am jealous. As far as I can tell, we only got rain.

It came up here, so I got the snow day for my birthday. So there.

I feel your pain, sista! We got more than a dusting, but the roads were bare when I got up. And I was sooo hoping for an excuse to stay home. SUX!
