Side Benefits

In spite of waking up at fuck-off early for the morning's exertions, I find I'm actually more awake and less dozy than I usually am at this point of the morning (coffee or no). I've heard it said before that taking morning exercise is salubrious in this fashion, but one finds it sort of hard to believe without some hard evidence.

I get much less sleepy at work with regular exercise. Inversely, at my highest weight I almost fell asleep at my desk on a regular basis.

That said, it doesn't work if I get up early to work out, since I don't usually go to bed early enough to compensate. In which case, I get doubly tired from sleeping less and using energy in the AM.
