Because we didn't have enough to do

...we're also in the middle of changing _all_ our phone numbers. (This is the danger of putting all your eggs in one telco basket--Focal did our dialtone provision too, see.) You might think this would not be a difficult task for users to handle: take out this phone number, put in that one. You would be wrong. Well, let us be fair; plenty of users can handle it, but there are more than enough who fail reading comprehension to make the phones a-jangle. This is actually in the wake of a _second_ notification, to the people who haven't changed yet...so it's the people who can't follow directions, either.

Plus, of course, there are some initial reports of problems from users who have already switched; busies and disconnects and whatnot, the usual, but we need to get a feel for what to expect from the new lines.

All of which mean no aikido for me today. Suck.
