Squad night tonight, and it went pretty well. At least for someone as far below the curve as me...but then, I'm also comparing myself to people like Keith, who _was_ a fighter pilot, and Ross, who's spent a considerable portion of the past five years flying Warbirds. Nevertheless it was a glorious moment when, after jumping into the main arena (we had been shooting each other up in the practice arena), I plunged into a furball and shot down a Spit and a Corsair in quick succession. The more so as I was flying a Zero, a plane I am not at all accustomed to.

Of course I promptly got shot down and had an ignominious rest of the evening, but--!
