Silly me, I thought the AP wire had writers, or at least editors, with more-than-rudimentary English skills.
I don't know why, but the basic failure of most of the English-speaking world to understand that the parliamentary cry of approval for the current speaker is "hear, hear", not "here, here", drives me almost as crazy as misuse's of apostrophe's. Bah.
