Stop it, stop it, stop it!
It was just posted that Madeleine Page, sparkling wit of panix.chat, alt.folklore.urban, alt.coffee, and many more, died last night from leukemia complications.
I don't know as how I have the right to be crying. I didn't really, actually know her, outside of enjoying her posts immensely, and the occasional customer support issue (in the course of which she was always humorous, courteous, and clueful; a pleasure to help in any way). But I am.
Too much death around recently. Stop it, go away, NOW thanks okay bye.

Because you are human and a real person ... that gives you the right.
Someone with whom I worked with for a couple of years committed suicide, and even though we only had a work relationship (not an everyday thing, he was in tech support and I was in the data warehouse group -- and I did not really know him personally all _that_ well), I still felt really horrible for weeks afterward.
Probably not the same thing at all, but just wanted to let you know its normal to feel bad about it (assuming I am somewhat normal -- which is a big assumption, granted).
