hmph

No class today. I felt more or less okay, if somewhat groggy, when I got up, but as the course of the morning went on it was clear that I have what Beth's family refers to as "a touch of indigestion". It doesn't really qualify as a full hangover, but it's definitely in that direction, and it didn't strike me as a prudent condition to go aikidoing in. Yeah, let's do lots of rolling around when we're nauseous, it'll be great.

I really wanted to practice today, too. Feh.

When one of the Davids has a periodic "roll until you feel dizzy and nauseous" basics classes it can be hard to stand up after going back and froth across the room a few times. The classes are useful for many people but rough on the body...

Heck, sometimes I get woozy just from being thrown into forward rolls in quick succession. Somewhere around college I apparently lost my superior inner-ear rebalancing gyroscope. Not real delighted about that.

I found it came back with practice. The more often I go to class the less unbalanced I feel (in and out of class).
