Yea, thus did I phone the Most Honorable Municipal Court of Summit, and after waiting an awfully long time for someone to pick up the damn call did expound upon the bogusness of this parking ticket unto Jessie the receptionist.
Whereat she got the ticket number, went away for about two minutes, and came back saying "We got the plate wrong, I'm fixing it now, you don't have to worry about it."

If it was that obvious and straightforward, why did I get the notice in the first place?
