So, being kinda sorta figurehead of sales and support, this means that I am wearing the leader badge when our Covad rep is in town and wants to meet with us. After taking counsel with audiovile on the care and feeding of vendor reps, I garbed myself for battle (plain, if slightly saucy, black dress; simple strand of black beads; hair UP in a knot, that's important) and sallied forth.

I did not get a free lunch, which I blame El Jefe for since he sat on the "hey, I would like to meet you folks" mail until last minute, but I got a whizzo pen. Also I got us moved to the domestic call center, and a few other negotiations took place that were to the great acclaim of the populace.

It goes a lot easier if you think of it as roleplaying, I find.
