Call that a store?

Bed Bath & Beyond should be a great store for me--mmmm, homemaking stuff. But they never, _ever_ have what I want. I had a simple quest today: acquire new cake pans. They only had two makes (which were virtually identical), and I didn't want either. So, I have to make time to haul ass up to Chef Central tonight. What a damned nuisance.

Time to wash the office cats. That should be entertaining, at least.

Wash the office cats? You have office cats? And they need washing?

Yes and yes. They get feeeeelthy. NYC is not a clean place, alas.

Pix of the cats themselves can be seen here. (http://www.plutonia.com/images/cats)

Someone was also seen taking post-bath pictures; I'll let you know if and when they get uploaded. :)

But it is a wonderful place. It's the one place I've visited that I'd happily live in.

Ooh, yes please! I did once try to get office-cats, but everybody looked at me like I was a crazy-person. I want to come and work with you!

I don't think I know anyone who doesn't work at Panix who doesn't wish they did. Even with the lousy pay.

It's the one ISP I'd happily overlook my "no, never ever working for an ISP again!" rule for.

Well, you'll note I'm still here :)

I think I've posted before that cats are not too uncommon in smaller businesses here, probably as much because New York is a cat sort of town as on account of the vermin problem. Certainly our two fuzzballs seem to keep the mice away as is their job, but I think their morale value is much greater.

warehouse.net used to have office cats - one eighteen, one twenty. "The cat's pissed in the server" was the best downtime excuse ever.
