Newest entry on my List Of Suck: when the anaesthesia wears off partway through your dental procedure. It's an experience that gives me a qualm or three about my potential to withstand torture.
Unfortunately, this happens pretty frequently, especially if it is a LOOOOOONG procedure, or if they have to drill really deep. Y'know, for like a root canal or something. Actually, one of the big plusses about root canal is that often, by the time they get down to where th root is/was, it doesn't matter if the anasthetic wears off, because the root is dead, and you can't feel it anyway.
