Doing Stuff #2: Bronx Zoo
The next episode of Doing Stuff will be next Sunday, the 21st, and will consist of a day's outing at the Bronx Zoo followed by hunting food on Arthur Ave., which is, I'm told, where all the wonders of Little Italy went when Chinatown started invading.
I intend to arrive c. 11am. I don't know how long exactly we'll be there, but I anticipate at least 5 hours. (Certainly not past 5:30, as that's when they close.) Comment here or email me if you intend to come; on the day of, phone or text to rendezvous.
(I find that this somewhat goes away from my original idea of low-cost stuff; they soak you $12 entry, $8 for parking, and then a bunch of special stuff like the monorail and camel rides and butterfly garden are more on top of that. But, it's one of the top zoos in the country and I really want to see it. I promise the next several events will be more budget-conscious.)
