Cold pools are the way to go. Warm pools are for the weak of heart.

I, OTOH, have won an Algae Battle with mine already this season. It not being Year One in our case, I haven't felt the urge to freeze my ass off just to be in there.

However, based on that past experience, the good times being wet in there outweigh the Maintenance and the Spending Money On Chemicals. So far, the record is four BOFHen in the pool at once.

Congratulations on your Poolness and your Bravery.

No algae so far. The plant bukkake is a serious problem which requires constant filter & skimmer checking, and it's also scunging up the bottom--we're thinking of getting a pool Vroomba, having heard good things about 'em.

Water is up to 75 deg. F., huzzah!
