Time flies when you're sticking forks in your eyes.

ph34r my usefulness power. I have made TWiki go in a FreeBSD jail with its own httpd instance on its own virtual host on a different port _and_ having copied data from a TWikiWeb on a separate machine, WITHOUT A NET. And it works. (Well, one wee small mail-sending issue, but I think that's an S.E.P.) I have moved a Mailman mailing list to a different host, also without a net, with only one glitch. And, I have sent out a moderately-staggering amount of in-character D&D mail.

It would be lovely if any of this was what I was supposed to be doing at work, but since I have solved a number of user problems this week and the DSL sharelock is close to empty, I'm not feeling _too_ guilty.

Oh yes, have also wrestled the vile demon e-Tools to a standstill. Now it's just a question of painful frobbing of the resulting HTML since it didn't seem to pick up any of the character biographical info you put in the program. That's a problem for another day. (I do wonder why it gave my character a random +2 bonus to the "Use Rope" skill. Is it trying to imply something here?)

Tonight: pedicure, drinks, and pouncing on the beloved pet. Must have more tea or I'll fall asleep halfway through drinks; that would be crass, crude, and otherwise ill-mannered.

Nothing like a little bit of yak-shaving to add some color to your day.
