On the arrival of winter

I know when spring is here, because the wind has a different scent with no cold behind it.

I know when winter is here, because my knee gets that internal swollen achey feeling.

Yeah, I keep getting that spring scent in the air, that sort of balmy feeling, and thinking, "What? We're just skipping winter?" But also, yes, a bit of joint aches.

Ah well.
