It's a simple question, really. I was looking at bar sets and idly wondering why a bar knife has a forky bit on the end. Newbie hypothesizes it's so you can pit olives, but this seems wrong to me.

Wikipedia fale us; and for the rest, well, if you search for "bar knife", you learn everything you want to know about Ka-Bar blades.

Edit: Yes, I got the answer eventually. Just sayin'.
