When I went to bed, I was promised 5-8" of snow with predictions of IMMINENT DOOM and--perhaps? could it be?--a chance of a snow day.

I wake up to find a barely noticeable sprinkle of white frosting the grass.

Oh you should just see the way they panic in these parts. 5" of snow = The End Of The World Is Nigh, and there are runs on bottled water and suchlike in the stores.

They should see a good new hampshire snowfall. 3 feet, now that is something to be concerned about. 5 inches is a bore.
