Grrrr.

Apparently it is required by the FCC for all telcos to have stupidity rays continually beaming through the halls of their buildings. It's the only possible explanation, because otherwise where could every single CLEC we've ever dealt with find _this_ many complete fucking retards?

It's actually a hiring requirement as part of the anti-monopoly breakup from many years ago. Part of the deal that AT&T did with the government was that if they were to be broken up into RBOCs then no one with an IQ above room temperature would want to work there again, and so it became a federal requirement (enforced by the FCC) that customer facing salesdroids, technicians, support personal in a telco must be 95% taken from the lower performing 10% of the population. The government was happy, since this helped in their goal of total employment; a job for the countries most stupid!

And so it continues today. Take away the doctors, lawyers, geeks, Wall St traders, checkout till staff, homeless people and drug addicts... and what is left is the candidate pool for a job in your typical telco.

I hope this makes things clear!
