Grrrrrr.

Radburn likes to remind all the residents that they should observe "quiet hours", especially on weekend mornings, and monitor loud radio/stereo noise, lawn mower use, etc. With unspecified threats of what happens if you don't.

However, it seems perfectly acceptable for _them_ to bring in heavy tree-cutting equipment at 8am on a Saturday morning, on a part of the park that a dozen houses face onto.

I had the very great pleasure of a honking great truck with cherry-picker thingy being parked outside my bedroom from 8AM, with the picker bit being moved around a lot and guys in it chattering loudly.

Was almost a sort of childhood flashback: my father used to get out the power tools around 7:30AM on weekend mornings, and fire them up right outside my bedroom window. It was his idea of a subtle hint about when I ought to be getting out of bed...
