Because I wasn't tired enough.

Got even less sleep last night. Bleh. I really hope this doesn't continue.

Finding Nemo was pretty good, and extremely funny. The seagulls in particular absolutely killed me. Less pleasing was afterwards, when we went to Xando (trendy coffee/bar place across from the theater), where I learned there wasn't a damn thing on the menu for me: their coffee drinks, which are very tasty, all contained at least one sweet liqueur; their frozen coffee slushy things are all be-sugared; and they had no iced teas or tea-like substances without caffeine. Bah. I ended up getting a cup of (hot) herbal tea and pouring it into a glass with ice.

Also, our dishwasher was definitely installed with some fuckage, as it has a whole bunch of water standing in the bottom after it runs.

It's horribly hot and humid today, but I went to class anyways: Go Me. I have a hope that if I keep doing so, I will gradually grow accustomed to taking exercise in the heat, and will stop with the head pounding, breath-gasping, face-like-a-traffic-light thing. Possibly I am delusional but I will soldier on.

I tried to go to class in the 90F weather last week. Did the half hour class and drank 3L of water (partly before and partly after). The hour class or both would likely kill me ... I don't deal with heat well.

Weather here is predicted to be good on Thursday and Saturday, so I'm going to try to go to those two.

We only have hour-long classes...The sensei was careful to intersperse really active throws with lower-impact ones, to give people a chance to cool down a bit, but I was still a wreck by the end of things. I should maybe not go when it's that hot, but the little demon on my shoulder keeps whispering to me "THEY can all handle it, what's YOUR damage?" For some reason, my lesser-evil calculations find overheated exhaustion with a side helping of pounding headache to be more acceptable than the possibility that anyone would think I don't measure up.

I suspect someone has removed the common-sense particle from my brane.
