I hope he gets jail time, but he probably won't - or W. will just pardon him on the way out.

I heard somewhere...I forget where, possibly NPR...some Alaskan ninny saying that it was a jury of 12 people "in DC" that convicted him, so it didn't count, and Alaskans are sick of the lower 48 (said with utmost scorn) telling them what to do anymore.

At least the corruption of the previous governor got Alaska to revoke the governor's power to appoint Senators, so Tube-guy can't just retire "to concentrate on his appeal" and let Palin appoint someone. There would have to be an emergency election (which rumors have Palin throwing her hat in the ring for).
