serindeStill tired--I've been having strange dreams all this week on top of just going to bed late--yet I'm in a remarkably good humor. Said dreams are what I understand to be classic "stress dreams", e.g. missing trains, having horrible inexplicable fights with friends, realizing one hasn't paid bills in three months, that sort of thing, but I don't really feel particularly stressed; ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
sweh opines that I'm just sublimating it, and that's likely true. There's a certain amount of tense anticipation of impending trouble what with the various family ills, and then add to that the normal holiday hassles. But emotionally I feel pretty good. Odd.
More retail therapy last night, consisting of a couple of skirts, a blouse, a little black velvet tube top which I'm going to have to duct-tape up my tits to wear (but it only cost $5, so if duct tape doesn't work I'm not out much), and a nicely-revealing black velvet jacket-ish blouse. I think they intend you to wear something else under it; suff on that. Best of all, not a thing was over $20. I was deeply tempted by the vast array of sparkly silk sweaters, but I already have several tops of that ilk...I may yet go back for some of that action. Problem is, most of them are sleeveless, and I don't much care for the way I look in most sleeveless things; they tend to make my bustline look like the fucking Himalayas. Ponder ponder ponder.
Also, I want more casual pants that aren't jeans. Just try and find any that aren't hip-huggers, though. Bah. Not to mention the fact that most things I find may claim to be misses'-cut, but are actually much more juniors'-cut. So they're tight around the hips and way loose around the waist. Likewise bah.
Looks like we are gearing up for some tasty roleplaying action on the Cthulhu list. *rub hands gleefully.* It's almost funny, how much I love playing Josephine--she's so different from any of the characters I've ever played before, in any genre. Cry havoc, and let slip the inner sarcastic bitch!
