Feb. 9th, 2004 02:10 pmThey know when I haven't had enough sleep. It's always a much livelier class then. I was partnered with John (that is, a different one than the other three Johns I've worked with before), who was a little exuberant with the arm pressure on ikkyo but well within tolerance; and not doing it out of chest thumping yobbishness, so it's doubly okay. We were otherwise much on the same page with energetic rumbling, and much fun was had. He's a fair bit more advanced than me, I'd judge, but I'm happy to say I don't believe I was dragging things down. Yay for being able to hold my own.
On the ehhh side, my ukemi for iriminage was edging on sloppy, and I utterly left my brain in my purse when it came to shomenuchi kaitenage. I've only done that, what, FIVE HUNDRED TIMES before. Bah.
The temperature is above freezing today, and therefore I started to overheat. I need a CPU fan implanted in my head.
