* If you could live anywhere -- in this fantasy-land everyone you want nearby will be there, and work is not an issue -- where would that be?
A brownstone in Brooklyn; a house in the Mission District in SF; London; Toronto. I could be perfectly happy with any of those.
* What's your favourite tea?
Sans & Sans "Magia Primaveral", from Barcelona.
* Worst music video of the last decade? Why?
Oh Christ. There's so many to choose from. How about: the nu metal video shot in an abandoned warehouse with camera shake to show how intense they are, usually in black and white or sepia tones.
Which is to say "all of them", of course.
* Favourite century? Why?
For actual living: right the hell now. Not just for the creature comforts and being able to wear contacts, but in spite of all the crazy conservatives trying to take over the world, all the advances we've made just in my lifetime are really exciting when you stop and think about it; I can't wait to see where we go next. Provided, of course, "next" doesn't equal the society in Revolt in 2100. :-/
Otherwise, the 14th century. Also a period of fascinating change, and the fashions were good.
* If you had the time and energy, would you be inclined to go back to school? What would you study?
If you add "money" to "time and energy", then hell yes. I would study everything. I'd learn more languages, I'd take courses on the history of places and times I know nothing about, I'd try to actually understand physics instead of regurgitating answers by rote...everything.

3. What moment of your time at Columbia are you proudest of? (Not necessarily academic or even university-related; just during that window of time.)
4. Favorite place for sussuration?
5. What life-lesson or learning experience do you most hope will stick when you expound it to your hypothetical child(ren)?
For bonus points, probably not to be answered in public LJ: What was the goofiest wedding present you got? I'll tell you mine if you tell me yours. ;)

4) Most necessary fashion item? (Garment, accessory, whatever.)

Date: 2004-02-23 08:47 pm (UTC)2) As angry as I am with many of the things my family has done, I honestly believe that they have suffered enough. If I had to choose one member of my family to have a sudden rush of understanding, it would be my mother. I would like my mother to understand the level of damage she has inflicted upon those she claims to love (not just my sister and I).
3) I would study the healing arts. Naturopathic medicine, acupuncture, physical therapy, massage, and modern medicine.
4) Self confidence. It doesn't matter as much what you wear, but that you feel good in it.
5) That's a tough one. There have been so many wonderful moments since coming here. There have been nights out dancing, musicals, dance performances, beer outings, weddings, parties, cons, and times doing nothing in particular but feeling content. I could list pages of memories. The birthday party you threw for me, finally seeing Phantom of the Opera, Stomp, The blue man group, Mathew and Catherine's wedding, Skyler and Sherlie's wedding (forgive me if I slaughter the spelling of people's names), Aresia, and dancing with everyone at 1984 to name a few.
