Eli found a wack 50s film about the usefulness of springs, wherein an evil animated spring makes some poor sap's life a living hell by removing all the springs from his existence. He then becomes a convert and bores all his golfing buddies to tears by yawping about springs constantly. Possibly this is a subtle attempt to warn the masses about spring-shaped aliens, we're not sure.
