Once more with the funerals. We just got the call that Steve's mom died last night (the next-door neighbor had stopped in to check on her, and found her). Imminently to Buffalo we go. Because all life is a test and I passed the last one without going *spoing*, this time there is the added fact that we are the next-of-kin and will be the ones dealing with the legal and practical foo. Steve knows nothing of these matters and I probably know less. My kingdom for a FAQ. Yes, I'm gibbering.

SWMBO, who remembers you from Usenet, offers condolences too. She did have to deal with her father's estate, but that was under .on.ca law.
My regards and condolences to Steve, too.
