We went to 1984 (which is held at the Pyramid) last night. Well, by the time we got there it was today, but anyways. What a wonderful terrific time! Much good music; kind of overcrowded, a little smoky, very hot but I wasn't wearing much so that was okay. Dark, but that was good for me, because I was a lot less self-conscious when I knew no one could see me. Also, only $7 to get in, as opposed to the other 80s club I know of which is $20 or something.
The funny thing is that we almost didn't make it. We went back to
sweh's to drop stuff off and change and whatnot, and had a nap, which was VERY hard to wake up from. I would have lamed out if we hadn't been meeting Miranda, Brian, and possibly Claire at the club, and I didn't want to ditch them. Note to self: naps are right out.
Today, crawled out of bed at about noon, and we went to brunch at some J. Random place in the Village. (Tried to go to Lips, which Beth said had great food and fun drag queen shows, but they apparently only do brunch on Sundays.) We came home mid-afternoon and I went out to do a bit of xmas shopping, and also bought a futon. Go Me. It should arrive next weekend.
Now, I shall take my birthday pooky out to dinner.
