I would have slept wonderfully last night...except for sharing a bed with two people who couldn't sleep. Curses, foiled again.

To add to the joy of Mondays: yet another DSL anvil! It seems that Covad will charge a $50 setup fee per line even if you _don't_ get the setup kit. Why this was not known TWO WEEKS AGO is not clear to me. Thunderbolts. Smite. Etc. I presume we're going to have to just eat the cost if this is true, since there's no way we can spring this one on the users.

It looks as if no one but us is going to Arisia. Maybe we should punt it too.

All in all, a fairly disheartening morning. I'm still going to check out the Aikido place during lunch, though, dammit.

Confused now.

Steve got his culture results back from the Merrill clinic today. According to them, he _doesn't_ have strep, in spite of their diagnosis last week.

Julie and I, however, both tested positive for it.

Either they screwed up some set of tests, or the coincidences are getting a leetle weird here.

I have plunked down for three months of aikido fees; I begin tomorrow lunchtime. This mighty commitment did not magically make the climb up the office stairs any easier, I note.

Eris giveth and Eris taketh away: we are about to be boned _again_ by the auto insurance demons. This could make Arisia interesting. I won't know just how interesting 'til 2:30 or so.
