Eris does as she damn well pleaseth. Hail Our Lady of Discord.

Giveth: YAY AIKIDO YAY. Unfortunately I won't be able to go for three days (and probably today too; lunch with Claire. I could go after work, but then again, it would probably be best if I didn't have to hobble around Arisia like an aged, much-wounded war horse).

Taketh: Auto insurance is completely verkachte: "out of the frying pan and boned up the ass with a red-hot poker", to quote Dolph Lundgren. Also, our D&D party was back on the short bus last night, and nearly got our heads handed to us; I'm almost positive that only DM fudging kept us from losing two party members. Some of it was our stupidity, but a lot of it was the worst die rolling we've had in ages.

Oh, and, well, DSL. But I blame the Illuminati for that.

...as Dave would say. I just found myself jumping up and down cheering "Yay! I can go to work on Monday!"

Semi-explanation: I was going to take Monday as my optional holiday (it's Martin Luther King Day, for you furriners; lots of places get it off by default, but though we don't, we get one optional holiday per year and this is a time we can use it), because a) it sucks to come back from a trip and have to go to work next morning, and b) the nice bank men were going to come over with the final papers to sign for refinancing the mortgage. This, of course, means that I would not have been able to go to aikido class on Monday.

But the mortgage people, it turns out, are not coming; so I can go to work, and therefore go to aikido. Hence bouncy-bouncy happiness.

Did they plant pods in my brain there?
