drip drip drip goes the water
Oct. 29th, 2003 10:57 amMore pouring rain. However, I fear it not, because I am wearing shoes that a) are rubber and b) have a couple inches of platform. Even the half-block-long lake on the corner of 17th and Sixth (which I saw swallow a bicycle messenger on Monday) is of no moment to me. The fact that my coat covers the entirety of the semi-schoolgirl-ish dress I'm wearing today so that when I'm all zipped up I look like I'm nekkid under my coat is just a bonus.
My wrists are pretty bruised after class yesterday--we were doing much yokemenuchi and therefore blocking strikes with the forearm, and I was working with one of the testosterone-based uchideshi (though he was very helpful in correcting my form in various ways, so it's okay). Life is pain, Highness.
This week's peeve: my retarded cat managed to knock a full cup of tea all over my beloved clicky IBM keyboard that my pooky got me a few months back. We did our best to sop it up, but though the key action was fine and unsticky (good thing I stopped sugaring my tea), pressing one key got a different result; like, Enter = Ctrl-F. Snarl. We do have a spare, but...snarl.
Game tonight, Cthulhu game on Saturday. Oh yes, and a Halloween party on Friday. (All within the sound of my voice are invited.) I should get around to the actual planning bits, not to mention securing my costume requirements, and
sweh's as well. Consultation with
tactisle helped me nail down what I need clothing-wise; now it's just a question of what hair re-coloring technology to use.
