...because today is the 70th anniversary of the repeal of Prohibition. (You furriners can, if you prefer, toast America's return to its senses...though I admit that may be hard to do with a straight face in today's political climate.)

The poll results of 6 Yes, 2 No, and 5 Maybes more or less reflect my inclinations on the matter. I will call...presuming I can muster up the juice to do so.

What a bunch of lamers.

Steve's flight, after being delayed past the point where he could have switched to Amtrak, has been cancelled, and they say no more planes to Newark today. (He's currently hastening to the Greyhound station to catch the next bus, which will get him in to Port Authority sometime past midnight, Deus velim.)

This is not anything like a real storm! It's a freaking couple of inches, nothing to take notice of, and the winds aren't that strong either. Bah.

Slumber party!

All within the sound of my voice take heed: booze and bad movies at my place tonight. No fireplace, but we may yet set something on fire if we get cranky enough.
