Friday: dinking around online, playing Vice City (I am the master of crash'n'burn car chases), talking to people (three cheers for the reappearance of [livejournal.com profile] 8782), and waiting for Zach to approve Nick's PrC or send it back for edits. Which he still hasn't; bah.

Saturday: Call of Cthulhu session, which to everyone's surprise became a comedy episode titled "Amateur Stakeout Night", as the professors decided that, since the "professionals" were nowhere to be found, they'd help staking out the mob-run nightclub. Wacky hijinks ensued, oh yes. That'll teach Nick and John to be late. No harm came of it all, though later in the evening a portion of the group was assaulted by a giant space insect lobster (again, no damage done besides a bit of sanity; Go Us). We ended a bit earlier than usual, and the remnants hung out for a bull session and silly ancient TV shows.

Sunday: Rose late and languid. Everyone was finally fed, coffee'd, and cleaned by three, whereupon [livejournal.com profile] naudia went home, [livejournal.com profile] arkham1010 went to go buy his own darn copy of Vice City, and the rest of us went to Time Warp (a game store a few towns over, better than our local one). Steve got a copy of the CoC New Orleans sourcebook and is now the happiest pooky ever; I have several dark blue paints that are actually dark blue, none of this purple-tinged horsecrap that Games Workshop has been shittin' me around with, so I'm pretty darn content myself. Followed then dinner at a local eatery, where we saw Stinky Guy who used to be in the D&D campaign--imagine the scene in Mystery Men where the Spleen enters the diner and the rest of them try to avoid attracting his notice. Except a), he's a lot more obnoxious than the Spleen, and b) we succeeded. Go Us.

Have just thrown everyone out, and am trying to muster the energy to tidy up, O joy, O rapture. I know what I'd much rather be doing...

My leg's a lot better, but I don't think I'll be ready for aikido tomorrow (though Tuesday is a distinct possibility). Bah. My healing factor is good--it just needs to be better.

We just watched the "Ariel" episode of Firefly; an example of what, back in the Babylon 5 era, was called a *WHAM* episode. Dear God Almighty, that show is awesome. I think that every time I see any of it, yes, but every now and again the fact hits me between the eyes like a two-by-four rather than just being an idle pondering.

Oooo, might actually get to bed before eleven. Wouldn't that be novel?
