Memetastic (plus bonus update material)

( braaaaaaaaaains. )

Steve is currently ranting to Mom about how everything in this house is non-standard, etc. etc. (rant #368). This was triggered by the fact that we were going to go get new pull-down shades for the sunroom, because the ones in there now were skanky when we bought the house, and (to put it topically) look like zombie shades now. I have started some laundry, cleaned the kitchen, and now hope to acquire a shipping box for my bike.

A competent salesman, who shall find?

Not around here, that's for damn sure.

We went to Home Depot to get custom-sized pull-down shades (because, as previously noted, our windows are funny sizes). Steve measured our needs most meticulously, listing both the length with the little pins that go in the brackets and without (i.e. the length of the actual tube). The ol' codger who was detailed to assist us asked twice, "this is the length of the tube?" Yes, we replied firmly.

Upon returning home, we find that he cut every single blind a quarter inch short.

KILL.

On the bright side, at Campmor I got a correctly-sized Camelbak reservoir, along with a free bike box. And we were parked next to a Lamborghini Countach (!!!). Who goes shopping for camping equipment in a Countach? Where the hell would you fit any of it? 50 surrealist cool points, right there. Made my day, at least until we got home & got blind-sided (HAR HAR HAR I AM TEH FUNNY).
