in which chocolate pr0n makes me loopily poetic

simonb is a bad, bad man. After his recommendation of same, when I spotted a few Green&Black's chocolate bars at Garden of Eden last night, I naturally had to pick one up to try--dark chocolate with hazelnuts and currants, as it happened. It's beautiful and deadly, yea, like unto the Bride's katana. (Thank fuck they didn't have the ginger one, or I'd be in a sugar-drop coma right about now, you betcha.)

It also went amazingly well with the otherwise sort of rough Chianti that Megan'd brought along to the meeting.

Yes, I'm avoiding thinking about the election. I did my civic duty and there's no more I can do now, so no point in fretting.

CNN has nothing useful to say, unless you count a truly astounding array of methods to say "we aren't saying anything because we don't want to look like dorks again". Screw this; I'm going to bed. I'll cope with the results, for good or ill, in the morning. (And no matter which of those results, erm, result, the very fact that the race is this close fills me with a deep and abiding disgust towards a large number of my fellow Americans.)
