Doing Stuff #3: The Met
Jun. 9th, 2006 04:11 pm(Yeah, this could be a waste of a perfectly nice summer day, but there are some exhibits we want to see closing this month.)
The next adventure will be Sunday, June 18. I intend to arrive at the Met at c. 10:15am; I will hang out on the steps (or in the rotunda/gift shop, if the weather sucks) until 10:30; and then I will proceed to, in no particular order, the Hatshepsut exhibit, the Tibetan arms exhibit, and the British fashion exhibit. I'm sure my customary homages to the Temple of Dendur, the Tiffany gallery, and the little Japanese garden will also take place. Time permitting, I reckon on wandering over Yorkville way for some serious soul food of my people afterwards.
For the less financially-abled: recall that, although the big signs at the Met entryway say "RECOMMENDED DONATION: $12", it is, for legal reasons, merely a recommendation; you are perfectly free to hand them a quarter and saunter on in.
Per usual, please let me know if you intend to join at any point.
