Mom just mailed asking if I can come Right Now and help move Grandma's stuff out of the assisted living place, cos she can't do it herself, and the place costs over $100/day, and none of the cousins seem to be around. BATAAN DEATH MARCH, HO!

Going to put pants on, settle my brain, run to the store so Steve and Julie has foodz, and be on the road by a bit after noon unless Mom hears from the cousins in the interim.

Edit: I checked yesterday and Continental had none of the seriously-low-fares from New York to Cleveland. THIS MORNING they just posted one. But not for travel THIS weekend! Assholes.

Edit 2: That's okay. Mom had enough frequent flyer miles, and they had enough "available seats", that I can take ze plane. So I'll be leaving on an 8pm flight tonight, returning on a 4:40pm flight tomorrow. Now to see if the TSA gives me any shit about the bunch of roses from sweh's garden I'm bringing for Grandma.

Domestic airlines: bullshitting you since, well, always

I've flown New York to Cleveland an awful, awful lot over the past fifteen years. And so I know how long it takes--namely about 45 minutes air time.

Wherefore, then, does Continental list the flight time of all their EWR <> CLE flights as 2 hours? I can only presume they're padding estimates so they can be delay-ful and still claim on-time-ness. Feh.
