It's 9 degrees F. out there right now. I've been inside ~15 minutes and I am only just recovering sensation in my ass.

I weathered the Three Minute Run tolerably well. It helped that I went very slowly. Speedy Gonzales I am not, and possibly may never be. I note that if I have to concentrate on pacing myself, it makes it even harder to ensure my right foot's landing on the heel instead of the ball. I'm not sure how much I should worry about that at this juncture. Anyone?

This week's workout is only 18 minutes, as opposed to the previous weeks' 20. And although I feel like Death as soon as I finish a three-minute-run section, I am recovered at the end of the corresponding walk that I could probably do at least one more cycle iteration. (That's just how my stamina rolls, yo.) (That is the sound of [livejournal.com profile] elibalin telling me never to try and speak that dialect again.) However there is both the time factor and the Don't Overdo It factor, so I probably will refrain Wednesday.

I took my MP3 player along today, with my normal headphones. This worked well...probably because I don't move fast enough to cause the headphones to slide off.

I should have time to do morning pages right after I get in but I never feel like my head is in the right place. Now, after 15-20 min. of dorking on Teh Intarwubs, I feel like I could. Not sure what that is all about.

Up two pounds, probably due to Saturday's bacchanalia. Damn you, top-notch wurst from the Swiss Pork Store.

1. I picked up some of the reusable grocery bags at the store (and am actually remembering to take them to the store). Yay, fewer plastic bags in the world--though I'll have to occasionally pick some up to scoop cat boxes into, I imagine.

2. I have dug out my faithful ol' Boxhill mug and have requested the nice coffee elves to put my morning dose in it, instead of a paper cup. This is a little bit of a nuisance to be hauling it around with me to and fro, but then I think of a year's worth of paper cups piling up somewhere and have no grounds to moan at all.

I have not advanced to the point of buying better-produced foods. I'd surely like to, but it's pricey enough feeding a house in the necessary manner as it is (if I upped the starch quotient, for instance, things would be a lot cheaper, but that would be a very bad health idea). Pondering this and hoping a solution presents itself. --At that, I don't know how virtuous Trader Joe's is. I should look into it; maybe we're doing pretty well as is.
