serindeGot home Friday and found no phone and no DSL. Weee! Opened a trouble ticket through their automated wossname, and amazingly, they promised a dispatch the next morning. ("Who are you and what have you done with NYNEX?") All was made clear when I called Mr. Automated Wossname for an update and found that they'd closed the ticket without doing anything...a conversation with a (theoretically) live human revealed that it had gotten sent for some reason to the Business Line repair people, and when they saw it wasn't a business line, they closed it. Now that's the VZ I know and hate. But she promised a dispatch by 3, so that was okay.
Guy came, switched the F1, but...there's no one in the CO on Saturday. So nothing will be fixed until Monday (and if anyone believes it'll happen _then_ without more calling, have I got a bridge to sell you). I wouldn't be logging this at all, but I'm at the darling pet's tonight....
Obviously the only answer was retail therapy. Beth and I shopped all afternoon. She scored a _wonderful_ suede skirt/jacket combo; I have some sweaters and things, also a little gold sleeveless number kinda like I had in college--I just need to find the perfect black jacket to go over it. Ah, the thrill of the chase.
