1. Best vegetarian curry EVER. (By the kind offices of Matthew & Kathryn, who brought me a set of curry spices from the exotic Southeast.) It was perhaps a bit busy--I believe that cauliflower, eggplant, chickpeas, and potatoes all in one pot is more variety than is customary--but I rather liked having all those different consistencies.

2. Actual planning of something I've wanted to do for ages, to wit whitewater rafting. (Watch this space for further details.)

3. The joys of pillowtalk:
Me: "*eep* Careful there, our cervix is a little low today."
Brian: "You've come to the wrong shop, then..."

You called a certain, but insufficient, number of minutes after--and I wouldn't even have picked up the phone except that I was on call.

We're looking the Delaware River and the Lehigh Gorge--we have inquiries in to several places. Of course you can come too. :)

Hurrah!

Much of the Delaware is... not exactly very white water. It's pretty wimpy and possibly better suited to canoes than rafts. But rafts are better than canoes for groups. The spot I've done many times is starting just above Skinner Rapids (formerly Skinner Falls) as a 1 or 2 day trip. In a raft, you can have a lovely leasurely float and drink, plus you won't need a guide there. It's not so much an adrenaline rush. (I don't know the difficulty #code 1-4, but I'm sure you can find it on the Internet). You can camp or get a motel. Don't go when it's low water or there's a lot of portage. Of course, when it's high water, it's faster and more exciting. Wheee!

I haven't done the Lehigh, but that should be plenty challenging for beginners or rusty folks like me.

I would love to go, either way!
