Ambient temperature in here is probably about 60deg. F. Additionally, there is a cold breeze blowing in from the outside wall (three feet from me), directly across my hands and face.
The construction elves, being unable to break our wills by making noises on the lot out back, have moved directly upstairs and are banging around like a blacksmith convention. (Or, as
elibalin put it, "The cast of Riverdance has moved in upstairs.")
At least the roaches have not been in evidence this morning.

Date: 2007-03-06 04:36 pm (UTC)So, imagine them doing it while you sleep, in the next room, apparently directly to the other side of the very wall that separates your bedroom from their spree of chaos. Earplugs helped, but not so much against the earth-shaking god-knows-what that could be felt through the bed.
Yes, I know, I'd have missed all the fun by getting up and leaving at a common hour. As in fact I may have done at least one morning when the din forbade rest.
