Help Wanted

I have rented a van for Tuesday next (the 8th), and am taking the day off work, to move a bunch of stuff too big for the car either to storage or to nedlnthred's. I could really use a helper or two, because a 6' IKEA bookshelf is a little cumbersome for me, myself, and I (particularly when it is being schlepped up that U-turn staircase at Beth's).

Will pay in cocktails and/or beer, also food. If you happen to be free that day and can help, please let me know.

What is the general time period being considered? Are you planning to start at 8am and finish by 5pm or were you more thinking about starting at noon and finishing nearer midnight?

Oh, it's not as long as either of those; I am not on this date Officially Moving Out. I'm picking up the van at 9:30am, and I'm returning it by 4, but I don't anticipate needing help for even that long.

Ah, if I had read the other comments first I would have seen that 10ish seems to be the time. I'll check the trains and come as close as I can to that.

I toyed with coming down to help, but after pulling my groin playing soccer (what do you mean now that I'm old I need to stretch??) tonight I can barely walk, let alone drive 3+ hours each way to help you move shtuff. Perhaps next time.
