Had it bad enough that it hurt to walk even a little (like, down the street to the shops) in 2005. Podiatrist, stretches, ibuprofen, decent shoes, and it went away. Occasionally now I get the faintest twinge of it, eg. after a night out in silly shoes, but nothing that some on-the-spot stretching doesn't deal with.
I had no idea there are waterproof mp3 players. What a fabulous idea!
