Today we went on a grand quest for a non-sucky grocery store. Well, not as such--the original quest was to check out the Trader Joe's which is only, as it turns out, eight miles (but twenty minutes; ah, New Jersey) away. It was unfortunately pretty small, though had lots of interesting things you can't get elsewhere. However, next to it was a supermarket that Did Not Suck: had everything I usually get, was well stocked, was large, was not crowded. A little more expensive than the local, but we agreed that non-suckage is worth the extra $$. ( Oh look, they actually have _meat_ in the meat cases. How odd is _that_? )

Since getting home, I have also done much laundry, put a chicken in the oven for dinner, changed the bedsheets for Mom's arrival Wednesday, and hacked away at the general tidying-up.

And, my weight has gone below the lowest point I got to with calorie counting. Go Me.
