Happiness is...

Damned if I know, but I seem to have found it today in spite of various thwartings.

So dig: it's a beautiful day, and a good portion of the world has it off but I don't, so I am stuck in the office (where we might as well not be, it's been so quiet); and the subset of world that has it off includes the dojo, so no aikido for me today; and I slept very ill last night. Yet I'm in a remarkably good humor, have gone all Posty McPoster (copyright catling) on the various mailing lists I'm on, etc.

Part of it might have been a most excellent weekend. Yesterday was sweh's birthday; we spent Friday and Saturday at my place, and Sunday at his. Much fun was had, and even much usefulness achieved, including a roaringly successful shopping expedition. (Behold, the toy collection is now sorted and organized instead of jumbled together in a duffel bag.)

Tonight: depends on the pooky and what he's up for. We might go see a movie, or we might stay home and watch music videos.

We shopped and you got me a beautiful necklace (and we got bonuses of toy box tidying up, lights, socks, slippers, frames... a very successful shop!); you cooked a wonderful meal and bread+butter pudding; good meal on Sunday; lots of cuddling and kissing...
