Go, TSA, go!

Bad week for them. On New Year's Eve, the Dulles TSA chief was arrested for drunken driving while he was supposed to be on duty. That was, you will note, during a "Code Orange alert", and the same evening that a plane had been escorted into Dulles by two fighter jets and searched extensively on "security concerns".

I guess that's how they geared up for the increased personnel demand: started hiring 'em right off the short bus.

Lots of TSA people are just the old airport rent-a-cops who were hired right into the federal government.

Of course, you would not expect them to hire and train qualified people, would you? Would cost too much money, and interfere with the tax cuts. Where are your priorities? Safety or Spending Money?
