Dear Diary: Me and this paranoid gun-boy got stranded on some backwater world occupied by the Sith. We had to rescue the Jedi our ship was transporting to get out of here (and she's supposed to save the galaxy or something). I did, by entering a, wait for it, pod race. She turned out to be a screaming bitch. THE END...for NOW.
In spite of the unfortunate personalities and plot points involved, I stayed up playing this until...I don't wanna think about it. Ooog. And I felt cravings to not go to bed at all. Oh, for the halcyon days of being able to cut.
We also picked up GTA:Vice City, so Steve spent the evening sprinting around Miami punching random strangers in the head. He seemed to be having a dandy time, though he couldn't drive a car for longer than five minutes without crashing it. (Or maybe that's why.)

Date: 2004-02-09 04:18 pm (UTC)The later parts of playing ship therapist remain kinda annoying... but throwing dozens of people around with force powers and slicing them to bits with lightsavers was fun ;)
Oh, and IMO going dark is a lot more fun than staying light on the force powers side, even if you have to do stupid things to be a dark side jedi.

Date: 2004-02-09 04:54 pm (UTC)I just have to play the first time light-side, though actually talking to Jedi McBitchy got me closer to dark-side points than anything else so far. Also, I want to see what they mean by "stance changing to reflect alignment", as I have visions of this creepy hunched Gollum-like thing. Good for a few yucks, I should think.

I found a party of mixed light and dark side jedi (most of your companions stay at their original alignment throughout the game) to be the most effective - dark side jedi can kill more easily, light side jedi can heal and stun, etc, more easily.

PC or Console?
Date: 2004-02-09 04:32 pm (UTC)PC games remind me of work because I usually play them in my office here at home. After sitting in this *cell* all day, the thought of spending another 6 hours in front of the computer is just distressing. At least the console is down in the basement ...
I suppose I could always invite myself over to your place for a LAN party.
Re: PC or Console?
Date: 2004-02-09 04:50 pm (UTC)Neither of the new games will work on the two other machines, unfortunately. They're a little under-specced, as we mostly had "guests checking email" and "Diablo parties" in mind.

Date: 2004-02-09 04:57 pm (UTC)I got mine for my son (well for me also, but thats the offical story and I'm sticking with it).
And I can use my own machine ... Ph34r My l4PT0P.
